Jennifer's Bio
Lieutenant Jennifer Curwick was born in Kansas and raised in Fresno graduating from Fresno High School. She began working as Student Assistant at Fresno State Police Department in 1990 while pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Pre-Veterinary.
While working at Fresno State P.D., she changed her major to Criminology. She was hired as a full-time dispatcher in 1995. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and a Victimology Certificate in 1996. While working as dispatcher, she put herself through the State Center Community College Police Academy, and was hired by Fresno State P.D. as a police officer in 1999. She was promoted to Sergeant in 2005 and Lieutenant in 2014.
Jennifer has served in many different capacities: Sexual assault investigations, 1st Aid/CPR Instructor, Field Training Officer, Crime Prevention, Behavior Intervention Team and R.A.D . Women’s Self-Defense Instructor.
